Is a Resident Evil 4 remake possible?
The idea of a Resident Evil 4 remake is unlikely to be realized, with remakes of the first three Resident Evil titles already surpassing the originals. It was, therefore, not surprising to find that the words “Resident Evil 4 Remake” were included in the news bullet, which we like to refer to as the Nvidia Geforce Now leak. We all knew that a Resident Evil 4 remake was coming sooner or later, just like Final Fantasy 16, Fortnite Chapter 3, or Dean “DayZ,” Hall announcing a survival horror game. We are not sure when or what format a Resi 4 remake will be released, but that isn’t surprising.
Resident Evil 4 remake release date
We don’t know when Resident Evil 4 will be released. This is because it hasn’t been announced. It’s always fascinating to see when the previous Resident Evil games were released. In January 2005, the original Resi 4 was released. January 2015 saw the HD Remaster of Resident Evil. January 2015 was the release of Resident Evil 2. Do you see the pattern? Okay, so Resi 3 was released in March 2020. This puts a damper on the theory. However, Capcom prefers to release its Resi games earlier in the year. Is it possible that we will see a Resident Evil 4 remake in 2022? If it is announced before the year ends (2020’s Resident Evil 3 remake was revealed in December 2019), we would be willing to invest money.
Resident Evil 4: Remake Features
It is not clear how Resi 4 will play. Resident Evil 4 is rightly regarded as the best episode of the series. It was the first series to abandon fixed camera perspectives and set the standard for horror genres moving towards a third-person, over-the-shoulder view. This perspective has been adopted by many other horror franchises (not just the Resi remakes) since. Resident Evil 5 was supposed to be an evolution. But it stumbled over itself. Capcom makes the same mistake as before, or will Resident Evil 5 be the best remake yet? We will find out in the future.
Resident Evil 4 remake Switch
Further, Resident Evil 4 was released for the Nintendo Gamecube. Its best form was on the Wii. Could this remake be made for the Switch? It would be a great and right thing if it did.
Resident Evil 4 VR
It’s important to remember that Resident Evil 4 is still in development. This one was officially announced and will soon be available on the Oculus Quest 2. It was first shown earlier this year, and it is expected to be the largest VR game of 2021, assuming that it will be released in 2021. Although the consensus is positive, Armature Studio and Capcom have not been forthcoming about the progress of the port.
